God places guidelines and warning signs in his word. He tells us to seek wise counsel in Proverbs 15:22 to keep us humble; instructs that the “power of life and death is in the tongue” in Proverbs 18:21; and teaches us how to pray in Luke 11: 1-3.  However, Colossians 2:6 provides us with a roadmap on how we can avoid the gaps in our lives.
