God wants our full attention, not for us to be beholden to the flesh. There are some things you can to “set your mind on the spirit” that will keep you connected to God’s peace (Romans 8:6). If we’re being totally honest with ourselves, sometimes we bring our own drama to the table that wrecks our peace. Self-care also means doing the work to remove ourselves from our own stuff that takes us out of our peace zones.
